12 for 12
- Drink lots of water. No more soda, no coffee, no energy drinks. Nothing that’s bad for me.
- Read my Bible consistently. I’m not really on a plan, so there isn’t any continuity and I think I could get more out of my quiet times if I had a more obvious progression.
- Grades>organizations. I am no longer going to break my back for UPB, HASA, KDChi, etc. I will do what’s expected of me, but I can’t jeopardize my GPA for an extracurricular.
- Write. I am going to write unashamedly. Confidence is key.
- Friends may come and go, and that’s OK. I am very naïve and a little too trusting. My sister once said “Only the best people deserve 3rd and 4th chances, but the best people won’t even need a 2nd.” New motto to live by.
- Lend a helping hand. Community service, at least once a week.
- Dress to impress. No more nappy hair under Melanie’s beanies. No more fat jeans and t shirts. No more days without accessories. No more “fresh” face and glasses.
- Try new things. I’m going to take chances- on people, on my wardrobe, on adventures, just on life.
- Sing more.
- I am not a hipster. No more unhealthy obsession with wanting to be a hipster… this one will be tough.
- Keep it clean. I’m saying goodbye to the messy apartment.
- Sayonara muchachos. I will no longer be obsessed with getting married. I’m just gonna let things happen.
